NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS- Dr. Clement is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology and a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has diversified experience in a variety of settings including rural and urban community mental health, university health services, inpatient psychiatry and medicine, and private practice. Dr. Clement completed her residency in the valley (2009/2010), and has stayed in Nova Scotia since that time. She has worked in a number of areas within the health authority, including forensics, operational stress, and adult mental health. Dr. Clement believes in meeting each client with a sense of compassion and curiosity, and values the significance of empathy and therapeutic alliance as both the foundation and catalyst for enhanced self-awareness, personal growth and meaningful transition. She works with adolescents (15+) and adults, providing individual and group therapy for people challenged with issues related to chronic medical conditions, trauma, emotional distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual orientation, sexuality, attachment, school/workplace stress and life transition. Dr. Clement’s training is grounded in humanistic and existential theory, which she considers to be at the core of her therapeutic approach with clients. However, she also integrates theories of mind/body science with psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches. Ms. Gracie utilizes various evidence based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. She has experience in client assessments, intervention, consultation and treatment planning. Her focus is on client strengths, offering respect, advocacy and empathy. Ms. Gracie’s areas of expertise and clinical interest are in helping clients with behaviour change (e.g., addictions issues, compulsive gambling or spending), as well as stress, overwhelm and workplace burnout.

Danielle Harris is a Clinical Social Worker who has always had a passion for helping others. She offers a welcoming and accepting space for all individuals; one in which a sense of safety and trust can be fostered. Danielle views therapy as a partnership, drawing from individual strengths and experiences, while offering feedback and practical tools to manage mental health difficulties. She is authentic, non-judgmental and inviting of discussions about any challenges her clients might be facing. She has noticed the value in using each individual session as an opportunity to inspire adjustment and growth; and she has observed the progress that can happen from gently guiding clients through their own personal recovery journey. Danielle completed her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in Health and Mental Health. Ms. Maggie Logue-Prest

Maggie Logue-Prest is a Clinical Social Worker located in the Valley. She loves spending time outdoors, being physically active and spending time with friends and family. Maggie has always enjoyed helping people make meaningful changes in their lives and she has a warm and compassionate approach to therapy. She helps her clients identify their strengths and use those strengths in the difficulties they are having.
Maggie recognizes the inherent resilience in her clients and provides a safe and inviting space for them to move toward their valued direction in life. She enjoys supporting her clients to reconnect with themselves, which may include: creating healthy habits, developing assertiveness skills, improving self-esteem, setting boundaries, learning to love themselves, gain independence, establish their identity and purpose, and defining what they want in life. Maggie has experience working with individuals on a wide range of presenting concerns, including life transitions, behaviour change, addictions, anxiety, and depression. She has a strong background in providing group and individual support to family members who have a loved one who is unwell (dealing with mental health and/ or addictions concerns).
Maggie understands that therapy is not a one size fits all model. She really listens to her clients and enjoys working collaboratively with them to make sure they feel heard and get what they need. Sybil Power
Sybil is a Registered Counselling Therapist in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), and a Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Sybil has experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She believes that healing occurs in relationship and in the supportive networks that we have, or create, and therefore sees her work through an attachment and relational lens. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, grief and loss or trauma, Sybil believes that creating a warm, safe environment and relationship is the starting point for being able to address these concerns and move towards meaningful change in our lives.
